Root morphology of several varieties of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench.) on ultisols treated with cocopeat

چکیده

This research aimed to determine the root morphology of several sorghum varieties on Ultisol soil-medium treated with cocopeat. The was carried out at Greenhouse Faculty Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, from April 2019 January 2020. used a randomized block design two factorials and three replications. Factor I planting medium (topsoil, Ultisol, + 1 kg Cocopeat, 2 Cocopeat). II Sorghum variety (Pahat, Kawali, Samurai 1, 2) treatment. results indicated that there are differences in appearances plant (root volume length) soil media cocopeat, were interaction effects between cocopeat plants.
